Building on the successful launch of our Okta Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform, the Wolverine Identity Program is moving beyond a simple login and creating a connected campus experience.
From Passwords to Progress
We’ve already introduced a passwordless future through Okta FastPass, replacing the friction of passwords and multi-factor authentication prompts with the speed of biometrics and secure push notifications. But our vision is broader than just a login screen; it’s about ensuring that every student, researcher, and staff member across all campuses has the right access, at the right time, with zero unnecessary hurdles.
A Stronger Digital Foundation
The Wolverine Identity Program is current focusing on:
- Empowered Users: Providing self-service account recovery tools that put control back into the hands of our community.
- Reduced Risk: Implementing an intelligent account lifecycle that automatically secures inactive accounts, protecting our institutional data.
- Streamlined Integration: Migrating our ecosystem toward Okta as we bid farewell to Duo in 2026. This transition is supported by new, self-service migration tools for SSH, RDP, and SAML and OIDC.
The Path Ahead
As we look toward the future, we will automate provisioning and deprovisioning for our administrators and improve security and reclaim time for innovation.
